Awaited Transformers ride will open next December at Universal Singapore

It's official: the new Transformers ride will open next December 2011. Not at Universal Studios Hollywood but at Universal Studios Singapore! And not only it's official but Universal Singapore has opened a blog where news about this highly awaited ride will be post regularly.

I remind you that the ride is expected to use the same technology than in Spiderman ride at IOA and should be incredibly spectacular. Universal Singapore also released this first video clip which include the footage shown at ComicCon last month, and in which you'll see what is probably a few seconds of some of the ride's projection movies. My feeling is that this one will be a major E-Ticket ride.

When you say "next" December, do you mean December 2011?

Looks like it will be an awesome ride though, can't wait to check it out.

Yes, Chris, it'll open December 2011.

It opens in a few months. Article should say 'This December' not 'Next December'

C'mon, is everybody stupid or what? , "next" december means NEXT december, and there is only one december between now....and december 2011

Well, I think it's just a misunderstanding. If I had to translate this in spanish (my native language), I would say "este diciembre", which means "this december". "Next" (or "próximo") would be confusing, as it could be understood either as 2011 or 2012' december. Maybe it has been just something like that.

Talking about the ride... it looks awesome! I have to say that I think Universal is reaching the very same level of quality Disney used to be. Thanks for the update, as usual.

Any word on whether there will be differences between the Singapore version and the Hollywood version? Universal Hollywood always seems to get slightly or even majorly stripped down versions of cloned attractions that Uni builds in their other parks in Florida and around the world.

My guess is that it will be exactly the same ride.

Dang, it looks like Universal Singapore's fast becoming the premiere theme park in the region. HKDL had better up the ante.
