Marvel Announces Officially Ant Man Director

Marvel announced officially who will be Ant Man director! Yes Man director Peyton Reed has officially been set to direct Marvel's Ant-Man, and even if Adam McKay turned down the offer to direct, he will help to develop the script. I'm afraid to say that we've gone from an amazing director like Edgar Wright - who resigned or was "fired" recently - to a very mediocre director like Reed, a guy who did other films such as Bring It On, Down With Love and The Break-Up.

That's no good news indeed, but the movie is supposed to be released on July 17, 2015 and i suppose that the time is running against Marvel. During this week many others directors were running to be Ant Man director but it's Peyton Reed who will direct. Let's hope he'll do a good job and here's a synopsis that the studio also released today:

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

Nothing can be worst than what Shane Black did to Iron Man 3. The only thing that can kill a great Superhero story is a clueless arrogant director.

That's a bad news indeed...

The Ant Man movie should have been released on the first phase of the Marvel cinematic universe, after all Pym is an original member of the Avengers, something that the Black Widow, Hawkeye, and even Captain America are not!

Also I think that they should have made the first Ant Man movies with Pym, and later introduced Lang as the new Ant Man, instead of having Pym played by an old man from the beginning.

I also don't understand why it will be released after the second Avengers movie which is called Age of Ultron, since it was Pym who built Ultron.

Well, at least they are making an Ant Man movie...
