TDL 35th Anniversary Stunning "Dreaming Up" Parade Debut at Tokyo Disneyland !

Tokyo Disneyland 35th Anniversary Happiest Celebration "Dreaming Up" Parade had its first performance and the floats are absolutely incredible, may be the most sophisticated i've ever seen, with so many parts in movement! Love each float, and the Mary Poppins and Peter Pan floats are just amazing!

And there is a reason why they're great as the parade is the  creative work of Parade Designers Richard Import, Ohmatsu san, Creative Director Steven Davison and Managing Producer Kris Bunner who all did a fantastic job, really. This parade will be very hard to beat. And i don't even want to know the price of each float, which is probably insane. We won't have a parade like this at DLP anytime soon, i can tell you...

Editing: I thought that the parade has been designed by Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney, but according to Jody himself ( see his comment below ) it's not the case and he asked me to give the proper credits which i do with pleasure above.

The parade include floats with Mickey and a tribute to Fantasia, Pinnochio, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, Donald - Aladdin, an amazing Princesses float, Big Hero 6, and a Mary Poppins and Peter Pan float, the last one, and plenty of dancers and others mini floats.

I have two videos for you, the fist one posted by WDWNT showing the parade for a distance but great to admire the design of each float...

...and the other video allows to have a closer view of the floats and see each details.

The 35th parade at Tokyo Disneyland is full of whimsical details and lots of kinetic animation, trademarks both Kevin and I try to achieve in the parades we art direct. However we did not design this particular parade. Proper credit, I believe, should go to Richard Import, Ohmatsu san and Steve Davison. I will be excited to see it in person. Thanks, Jody

Magical of Wondrous Parade presents these stories through a parade float development, scenic design, show actions. The parade reflects the hard, creative work of Parade Designer Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney, Creative Director Steven Davison and Managing Producer Kris Bunner. Many others have contributed to the Magical of Wondrous Parade. Mark Hammond, whose previous work includes Disney California Adventure’s Paint the Night and Tokyo Disneyland’s Dreaming Up!, designed the musical score. Mirena Rada, who has previously worked on projects for Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Shanghai Disneyland Resort, designed the costumes.

The main piece of Magical of Wondrous Parade is a pulled based on Fantasia/Fantasia 2000, a float previously seen in Tokyo Disneyland's Dreaming Up!,

Other films featured on the parade include Frozen, Tangled, Coco, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio.

The floats have a similar style from the dreaming up!.

On February 10, 2019, Walt Disney World rolled out the red carpet to show off the latest elaborate costume creations for their upcoming Magical of Wondrous Parade, debuting next month. With a backdrop of three of the new giant-sized floats, Disney sent parade performers walking the “catwalk” backstage behind the Magic Kingdom to unveil costumes inspired by films.
