BREAKING NEWS: Stan Lee, Genius Marvel Super-Heroes Creator Dies at 95

VERY sad news as it was just announced that beloved and genius Marvel super-heroes creator Stan Lee died today at 95 at a hospital in Los Angeles.

CNN Article HERE , New York Times article HERE and Washington Post article HERE.

What we owe to Stan Lee is over any estimation. Before being adapted for epic super-heroes movies, Marvel heroes were part of our childhood or teen age and Stan was in its own right called "the Homere of the 20th Century" - in reference to famous ancient Greek writer and poet Homere who wrote the Iliad and Odyssey.

I had the luck to meet Stan for a few minutes during the grand Opening of Universal Island of Adventure, precious minutes that i will cherish forever. Disney and more sent its warmest condolences to Stan Lee children and family.

Here are some pictures of Stan through the years.

With his wife Joan who passed away in 2017.

Here is a great CNN interview of Stan on the Lary King show in 2000.

EDITING: Larry King has posted on Youtube the last interview he did with Stan Lee in 2015 filmed at Stan Lee last company POW Entertainment!

This month, Taschen Editions also released a gorgeous 444 pages book titled Stan Lee Story - written by his long time Marvel writer and collaborator Roy Thomas - on which i had intended to do an article in the next days, here are some pictures from it. The book is a pricey limited editions of 1000 copies but you still can order it if you wish on the Taschen.com website HERE ...for $1500.

The last picture below shows Stan in all his cameos for Marvel movies.

Watch ALL Stan Lee cameos since 1898 till 2018 in the video below.

You might also remember my post earlier this year when Stan was going though all kind of problems, both physically and socially ( with his associates who stole money from him, etc ) in which i was explaining that the transit of Saturn currently on his Sun degree in Capricorn was responsible that all these happened at the same time, and that he'll be lucky if he succeed to survive to 2018. No need to say that i would have preferred to be wrong but Saturn is "Murphy's Law" ( everything that can go wrong will go wrong ) and also, symbolically, the "Grim Reaper". With Saturn transits SOMETHING got to die. When Saturn comes back at 29 on the degree it was the day you're born it is the end of the teen age and time to really grow up. When he's back again at 58 - 59 it's the moment when people retired from their job - or pay the price for all their behaviour and mistakes in the previous 29 years ( Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey ). But when you have a Saturn transit at 95 it's almost impossible to survive to it. And the reason why is not only the dozens of problems it brings but also because Saturn transits are incredibly exhausting. And i can confirm that it's true as I am currently in the same kind of bad Saturn transit - actually exactly this month and even this week - and i don't tell you how bad and exhausting it is - and i'm not 95!
All this to say that if you're a Capricorn native - Saturn it still in the sign for two more years - or have beloved ones born under the Capricorn sign, and especially if they are over, let's say, 78, make sure to stay close to them as the next years won't be fun for them, not to mention they could be eventually deadly.

I've been a fan of your site from the beginning. I enjoy your ability to give us the latest Disney news and hear your opinions about the park's. Having said that, I think your Astrology section is uncalled for in this article. That's fine if you want to believe in it, but it's disrespectful to Stan's family to say that his death was predicted in the stars. Not to mention it doesn't ad to a news update at all.

I don't think it's disrespectful at all and obviously you don't know ANYTHING about astrology. And I mean REAL astrology, not bullshit horoscopes. If you knew even a little bit about astrology you'll know what i meant and knew that it was not a prediction, it's just a physical effect from invisible energies surrounding us and having an effect on our bodies AND our minds.
You're perfectly welcome to have an opinion about something you know nothing about or even never learned - which, basically, is like wrting a review about a movie you've never watched - but at the end of the day, as once said the great Indian mind Jiddhu Krishnamurti, there is only the truth or the false, the fact or the non fact.
And by the way Astrology is NOT a question of belief - this is the hundred time i have to explain that - but only a question of experiment AND the highest attention.

Whatever you want to believe is fine, but even if in not a so called expert in Astrology, that's not the point. It had absolutely nothing to do with your news story. I came here to read an update about the death of a famous creator. You could have just written what happened to him, info on his career, and maybe even a little personal story about how you liked his work. That's it. Pretty basic stuff that we learn in Journalism I. Bringing up a controversial topic that your readers may or may not believe has nothing to do with your post, and it's a good way to lose frequent readers. It's like bringing up a story on construction on the Guardians ride and then mentioning the James Gunn fiasco, an unrelated topic that isn't important to your story.

And the immaturity of your response tells me you don't care what your readers think about this. Force feeding me this idea that Astrology is a fact is like trying to convince a hardcore Catholic that Evolution is a fact. It doesn't matter who is right in this argument, neither side is going to believe the other if one is so in your face about it. Bringing up Astrology again isn't going to change my mind.

I will no longer recommend or visit your site. Even if you disagree with everything I said, please keep it in mind. It's not good business to drive your base away with personal philosophy they didn't ask for.

"It has nothing to do with the news story"?!? We're talking here about the death of someone - in this case, Stan Lee - and you tell me that explaining why he died at the moment that it happened has nothing to do with the story?!? And even more, the teaching that we can learn from that - as there is one.
And, yes, i don't care about what readers think, i just care about the truth and i psecially don't care about readers who authorized themselves to have an opinion about something they know nothing about. What always struck me is how people - even intelligent and rationnal people like i'm sure you are - can suddenly become stupid and irrational from the moment we talk about Astrology. Instead to say something like "i can't see how it works but i never spent time on the question, so..." which would be the most honest and rational answer they all go crazy and have an opinion about something they know NOTHING about and even never spent 5 minutes to try to understand or study it. And at the end we have pure insanity like "Force feeding me this idea that Astrology is a fact is like trying to convince a hardcore Catholic that Evolution is a fact. " ?!?

Let's put it like this: chances are that, just like me, you probably know nothing about Quanta Physics, or just vaguely and never studied it ( if you did or are a Quanta physicist, choose any other science you don't know anything about though consider it valid ). And it don't stop you - and me too - to consider it valid EVEN if you or I never did any experiment that could prove it at our own eyes. So, why do we accept Quanta Physics - in fact we give it the benefit of the doubt because the scientific institutions says it is proven, etc, blah bla blah. But the truth is that we don't have any rational reason to accept Quanta Physics as we never did the experiments ourselves or even learned Quanta physics.
So, why does it suddenly change about Astrology when it's exactly the same, at least for you, who never learned about it, probably never even spent 5 minutes to try to understand if there was some truth or fake, etc? Just for the same reason that you accept Quanta Physics: because of a mental image: in one case, a positive mental image that you trust blindly , in the other one ( about Astrology ) a negative one because of the tons of negative scientist opinions - and of course the total bullshit horoscopes. Why is it so difficult to give the benefit of the doubt and try to find what is behind? Because THIS would be the real scientific attitude, to search, experiment and experiment again, and to don't deny it from the start with no reason except that you can't see how it's possible to work, just like centuries ago they refused to accept that the Earth was a globe and not flat as they believed at that time.

The fact that you can't see - or believe that Astrology can work is logical, no blame here, but the blame is on the fact that you refuse to have a scientific attitude about it AND authorize yourself to put in the trash anything about it when in fact you've probably done NOTHING to try to check if there was something valid or not. In two words, you're not interested by the truth and you're not even able to have an open mind or be enough objective to put your beliefs in question if necessary, which would be the case to study honestly Astrology.

All i'm asking is that one has a scientific attitude, and accept to say "I don''t understand" instead than to declare "It's bullshit" when in fact they just don't get it.
