Maybe some of those guests who have been stranded would attemt to try and chase down our vehicle to get back home without getting snatched up by the Dinos. I believe there could be a happy middle which might relieve some of the story problems in each. What if the Chronos Time Travel set-up shop near or in the temple (it was explained in the first version that they need to be in the location they wish to visit).
