New Star Wars Land Rendering
A new Star Wars Land rendering was shown during the Summer Awakens Media Event, and it's the great Greg Pro who did it for WDI. As you can see the pillars of stone partly covered with vegetation don't look the same at all as in the first rendering - see below. May be the "Big Thunder Mountain" new look is to avoid a visual intrusion that wouldn’t fit with Disneyland Frontierland nearby if they realized there was no way they could hide these pillars of stone "from another planet".
Note however that there is less difference with this other visual of the land shown during the Star Wars Land segment in the ABC Special recently.
A closer look at the artwork shows that all the previous announced elements like the Millenium Falcon ( center ), the platform with Storm Troopers ( right ) and the market are still there.

Michael Eisner Celebration of DLP Imagineers Work, April 1992
Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 24th birthday this month and thanks to Thorsten, a faithful D&M reader, who is collecting Disney memorabilia, i have a great document for you today. Thorsten acquired some years ago this incredibly rare document which is a limited edition cel released for DLP opening in 1992... but this one is signed by Michael Eisner! And not only it is signed by Eisner but there is a long dedication for Mickey Steinberg who was Disneyland Paris Project Director at Walt Disney Imagineering!
This is for sure a unique piece of DLP memorabilia and because Michael Eisner text is written all around the picture, so not easy to read, here below is the transcript of what Michael has written for Mickey Steinberg as well as pictures of each sides with the text. As you will see Eisner is in heaven and love the park, and i'm sure that DLP Imagineers who built the park will be happy to learn how much Eisner loved the final result. All my thanks to Thorsten for this great document!
Here is the transcript of Michael Eisner text below, if someone think we did a mistake, thanks to let me know!
Mickey –
What an unbelievable team you lead in designing, building and opening EuroDisney !! I really feel that only you guys could pull something like this off !!
Congratulation for keeping American entrepreneurship alive-
I also appreciate all the travel you had to do over the past couple of years – boy was it worth it !
And it opened in time – And it is beautiful – And being perfect is good because people came – 60.707 people came on Easter Sunday – WOW !!
And of course –
Thanks –

Prince Dies At 57
No real connection between Prince and Disney but he was such a great musician and singer that it's sad to announce that Prince died at 57.
From CNN: The artist known as Prince, who pioneered "the Minneapolis sound" and took on the music industry in his fight for creative freedom, died Thursday at age 57.
"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," said his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure.
Earlier Thursday, police said they were investigating a death Paisley Park studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
There is a massive outpouring of grief on social media. Some are saying the icon's death is what it sounds like when doves cry, a reference to his monster hit.
In early April, Prince said he wasn't feeling well, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and canceled at least one concert in the city. Some days later, he took the stage in Atlanta to perform. After that concert, the singer's plane made an emergency landing, Noel-Schure told CNN. At the time she said, "He is fine and at home."
Prince has won seven Grammy Awards, and has earned 30 nominations. Five of his singles have topped the charts and 14 other songs hit the Top 10. He won an Oscar for the original song score to the classic film "Purple Rain."
The singer's predilection for lavishly kinky story-songs earned him the nickname, His Royal Badness. He is also known as the "Purple One" because of his colorful fashions. His sound was as unique and transfixing as he. He created what became known as Minneapolis sound which was a funky blend of pop, synth and new wave.
One of the most memorable moment happened when he sang at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2007 through a storm of rain and wind. Pretty incredible moment and video in tribute to a truly amazing and genius artist that you can watch on Youtube HERE.
