In Today's Mice Age Update: Shanghaî Disneyland delay, Star Wars Land to be built north of Frontierland, Toon Town would disappear, and more...

Editor's Note: Today's Mice Age update brings all kind of news: no surprise ones with the ( expected ) delay of Shanghaî Disneyland opening, apparently to be moved from end 2015 to Spring 2016, but others more surprising like the idea that Toon Town will be removed and a Star Wars land would be built north of Frontierland and where Toon Town currently is !?! And, no it doesn't seems to be an April Fool...

More also about a Marvel Land at DCA near the Hollywood section, which looks to me just as bad idea. Why the hell don't they use the land they have for a third gate to build a third park with Marvel and Star Wars land? Anyway, jump HERE to read the whole update!

  1. Exactly! Good point. I just argued the same point about building a third park with Star Wars and Marvel, in a comment on the Mice Age site.

  2. I agree about marvel and star wars in a third gate. Why would you put them in the existing parks in Anaheim. Put it in Orlando or Paris or Hong Kong. Toontown never really fit in Disneyland but Star wars doesnt fit at all and especially not behind fantasyland. Do a fantasyland expansion and put toontown somewhere in DCA. I am interested in the star wars and marvel land though.

  3. I'm not so fond of the idea of a 3rd gate in Anaheim at this point. It would come at the expense of keeping Disneyland Park and California Adventure fresh.

Star Wars Land is just what Disneyland Park needs. They haven't had an 'E' type attraction in nearly 20 years. The place has been coasting on nostalgia for its old attractions far too long. As for it being behind Fantasyland/Frontierland, I have no problem if there's a buffer to soften the transition between "lands".

So Star Wars Land in Disneyland and Marvel in DCA works for me.

  4. Didn't I read on Mice Age a few months ago that "the Submarines will never return and Autopia will disappear to make place for additional Star Wars attractions"?

So once again, more rumours and wild ideas from Mice Age ... still worth talking about?
