Disneyland Paris Update !

Today some news about Disneyland Paris short-term future! First, here is the program of festivities for Disneyland Paris Christmas season which will begin on November 7:

- [NEW] Disney Princes and Princesses will meet on stage at the Castle Theatre, from November 14th, 3 times a day to celebrate Christmas! Will be present, among others, on stage: Aurora and Philip, Belle and her prince, Ariel and Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn star of the show.
"Royal Christmas Wishes": 3 times / day - Castle Theatre (as of 11.14.2015)

- Christmas at Disneyland would not be the same without its now traditional cavalcade. The opportunity to see Mickey, Minnie and their friends accompanied Santa celebrating Christmas in their party clothes to the sound of lively music!
"The Christmas cavalcade": 3 times a day - Disneyland Park

- Queen Elsa and her sister Anna, along with their friends resume at Chaparral Theater for the return of the show "Sing with the Snow Queen." The animations such as "Princess for a day" and the Arandelle Market will also make their return.
"Frozen Sing - Along": 6 times / day (weekdays) and 12 times / day (weekend) - Chaparral Theater (as of 11.14.2015)

- The princesses Anna and Elsa Arendelle in Disneyland parade every day.
"A Royal Welcome": 3 times / day - Disneyland Park (from 11/14/2015)

- Merida meet the most rebellious of you at Frontierland

- Father Christmas will welcome you until December 25 at "Meet Mickey Mouse" in its new space, specially decorated. By late afternoon, he will join Mickey and Minnie in front of the tree to show the renewed lighting of the Christmas tree, a magical spectacle that will delight and enchant visitors!
And a new float has been design on which Mickey and Santa Claus will take place to light the Christmas Tree, here is the rendering of it.

"Meet Santa" until December 25 - "Meet Mickey Mouse" in Fantasyland

"Mickey's Magical Christmas Lights": 2 times / day - Town Square

- The day will end in the sky with a thousand lights "Disney Dreams of Christmas" every evening on Sleeping Beauty Castle.

"As you know DLP is in big rehab almost everywhere and It's a Small World is now closed until the end of the year, after what Big Thunder Mountain will close for one year for its biggest renovation since opening day. Envie de + is the DLP magazine sent to annual pass holders but it is now also on line and you can download the PDF of the whole issue ( in french ) right HERE.

One of the interesting articles is the one about the rehabs and here is a translation in english of this short text about Imagineer Tracy Eck, working on IASW and then BTM renovations:

We followed Tracy Eck, Artistic Director, Walt Disney Imagineering, on the site of "it's a small world" since August. This must-see attraction, which last year celebrated its 50th anniversary is present since the opening in Disneyland Park. "It is the subject of a makeover. On the agenda: new paint, new dolls, new costumes made by Costuming teams from Disneyland Paris and remastered sound. "

The next big project of Tracy will be Big Thunder Mountain, true icon of Frontierland, which will close at year's end for a period of approximately one year. "This is an unprecedented renovation since 1992 and will notably go through the emptying of the " Rivers of the Far West. " The track has been redesigned and sublimated.

Approving artistic concepts, coordinate interventions by specialists on construction sites: a "rehab" can sometimes be an ambitious project as much as a new attraction. Even when it comes to regain the original state? "It is because we put the same passion and the same work and we may even add small additional surprises" adds Tracy, mysterious. Just to agreed that such surprises are planned for "it's a small world" and others,  more "explosive",  for Big Thunder Mountain. But to learn more,  you'll need to be patient..."

So, it is now officially confirmed both by Tracy and the rendering above, DLP Big thunder Mountain will get the same explosive finale during the third lift with mapping explosion effect that Disneyland have since last year. Quite a good news as the effect is pretty impressive.

Talking about Disneyland Paris rehabs, Max, D&M collaborator has posted recently two big updates with dozens of pictures of the renovations going on in both parks and hotels. I'm a bit late in posting these on D&M and there is so many pictures that i can't find the time to post them.
