It's been a while since we talked about the awaited Hong Kong Disneyland Iron Man Experience ride, the first Marvel ride in a Disney theme park to open later this year at a date not yet announced. So, you'll find below the latest pictures found on the web showing its construction and as you can see things have gone up since the last pictures! I'm even a bit surprised to see the height of the building, specially the part near the Buzz Lightyear ride. From what we can see on the pictures i wouldn’t bet on a date before September, but who knows?
Bob Chapek said Iron Man Experience will open in late May 2016.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that ShanghaĆ® Disneyland is also rumored to open end of May or early June. And i don't see both opening at the same time. There is no way they will open both even with two weeks between each opening. It'll be interesting to follow what will happen once SDL opening date will be announced...
ReplyDeleteI REALLY wish they would come up with a better name for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading to Hong Kong in July, fingers crossed its at least soft opened by then!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of ride system will it be?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of ride system will it be?

ReplyDeleteBrandon, basically it's a simulator ride, but the latest technology in this and, let's hope, with some additional surprises during the ride...
ReplyDeleteMaybe they will *leak* plans about a second gate.
ReplyDeleteHK Chief executive CY Leung is going to give his policy address next wednesday. He might have news about the second gate.
ReplyDeleteLets hope its not a "Studios" theme.
ReplyDeleteThis is suppose to be an underground ride, also from what I heard, it'll be opened at the end of 2016.
