Amazing Drone Video of Universal Orlando Volcano Bay Water Park !
A pretty awesome drone video was posted on Youtube by Ramesh Ramkumar, giving us the best view we ever had so far of Universal Orlando Volcano Bay water park construction site!
The video starts by a stunning close view of the volcano itself with workers and Universal Creative folks working on it...
...and then the drone turns at 360° to show us the others slides nearby.
Here is the full video, watch it in HD and full screen mode!
As beautiful as this is, what this drone video shows is how much that extra land at WDW really helps the experience. Seeing the highways, hotels and McMansions from the slide towers really takes away from the immersive experience. Contrast that with how Typhoon Lagoon is tucked away, or even how SeaWorld's Discovery Cove feels like a hideaway in the tropics. I'm sure it'll be fun, but it won't feel like you're somewhere tropical or exotic.
I'm the first to admit I'm not a universal fan! But the Harry Potter additions have proven to be world class! I understand what your saying about the remoteness of Disney world having an advantage. But, as Universal's design has gotten better, they seem to take more into account! When I visited the resort i did , at street level feel immersed! So I think this will be the case for Volcano Bay. Universal is learning and they are getting better! This does look like a very promising project! And truth be told, when your up high on some of the attractions at Typhoon and Bilizzard beach, you can see some of the developed outlying area! It's just the compromise of high thrill attractions in any park! That being said, my money is always on (and spent) Disney!
Thanks for the such a descriptive post with high-quality pics at Volcano Bay water park. Yes, Volcano Bay Waterpark is one of the most popular attractions in Orlando. Many travelers search hotels near Volcano Bay. Thanks again for the lovely post. Cheers!
