At IAAPA 2018 in Orlando Bob Chapek, President of Disney Parks and Resorts unveiled the design of Epcot Guardians of Galaxy roller coaster as well as more details about the ride.
The show buidling itself will be huge - so massive that you could fit four Spaceship Earth inside it - and Chapek said that the GoG coaster will be the longest enclose roller coaster in the world. A unique state of the art vehicle system will allow each cab of four guests to turn at 360° allowing WDI Imagineers to program each individual to direct your eyes to the story happening around you and the guests to ride looking in different directions as you will see on the video below and. They call it a "storytelling coaster".
All this sounds exciting but WDW guests will still have to wait until 2021 before riding this Guardians of Galaxy coaster. In the meantime check the video below filmed by Theme Park Review, in which you'll see tests of the ride vehicle system.
