BC, i am going to amke you the same answer that i did on someone who asked me to take down the picture on the D&M Facebook page: "It's the Roaring Rapids Audio-Animatronic creature, the one which was currently not working, and that's why i've posted it. The text is pretty clear about that. I KNOW what you mean but i think people are intelligent enough to see the picture as what it is really and not a gator from Seven Seas Lagoon, so, sorry, i don't take it down. And it was of course not posted to be insensitive in any way."
Okay, i'm going to be of good will and i'll change it, but i shouldn't have to as you're juxtaposing two things with absolutely no link between them, except that the head of the fictional Q'araq creature looks a bit like the one of a crocodile. It's completely stupid, and normally i don't give an inch in front of what i consider stupid, but let's say that today i do. It won't happen again anytime soon, i tell you!
Alain, I personally have no problem with the pic. I understood that this article is about Shanghai Disneyland and nothing more. Sometimes people read too much into things.
I know this was unintended, but could you possibly pick a different image then that large crocodile?

ReplyDeleteI know it's weird that lots of unrelated things are now being connected to that tragedy. Thanks for the good will move.
ReplyDeleteGreat making-of video! It's nice to hear from the artists behind the creation.
