At last a fantastic HD video of Shanghaî Disneyland Adventure Isle Roaring Rapids raft ride showing the impressive Q'araq creature Audio-Animatronic, now at last working! Apparently WDI is using a Kuka robotic arm for the move of the creature head which would explain why it is so fluid. Enjoy, and thanks a lot to SoCal Attractions 360!
It's the week-end so i have a Shanghaî Disneyland update for you, a short one this week but great anyway thanks to Eric, a faithful Disney and more reader, who sent me this never seen before Shanghaî Disneyland artwork, most probably early artwork. More or less everything which exist currently is already there with a bit of differences but the interesting part is that it shows the Toy Story land which is not part of the park on opening day but could be added very soon. I let you find it in the artworks, click on each to see them in big size!
Disney France unveiled the beautiful French poster above for Disney's Moana ( called Vaiana in France, don't ask me why ) which i think is, esthetically speaking, better than the American one below, though not bad too.
Also, After the SDL dedication ceremony Bob Iger was happy to pose with the first guests of Shanghaî Disneyland opening day!
Others famous guests that one could meet today in the park, Disney Legend and WDI Imagineer Marty Sklar and George Lucas! Marty was there at all Disney Parks openings since the Disneyland opening in 1955 and he was there for SDL Grand Opening too!

Shanghaî Disney Resort Dedication Ceremony happened this morning with Bob Iger, China's Vice Prime Minister, the Mayor of Shanghaî and others WDC execs and China officials. The presence of all these officials is undoubtedly the reason why the park was opening to normal guests at 12pm today instead of 8 or 9pm, for security measures. It was raining a little bit, but according to China's Vive PM rain means good fortune when you launch something, so everything is fine. You have below the video of the full ceremony as well as screen captures, and now Shanghaî Disneyland is officially open!
Also, as it is the case in all Disney theme parks a dedication plaque is now in place in Shanghaî Disneyland, and Bob Iger revealed what is written on it:

Shanghaî Disneyland Grand Opening Celebration Gala Concert with dozens of musicians and choirs just ended and here is the full Gala HD Video and some screen captures of the end of it! This was the concert that you'll see tomorrow on the Disney Channel, with right before it the SDL dedication by Bob Iger!
Shanghaî Disneyland Grand Opening Celebration Gala will happen tonight for thousands of VIP guests and medias, so stay tuned on Disney and more for the first pictures! As for me, guess what, i’ve finally found back my passport this morning! ...but now it’s too late to be on time in Shanghaî, the fare don't allow to re-reschedule the flight at an earlier date than the one i rescheduled yesterday, etc… so it’s really frustrating… Grrrr…

While waiting for Shanghaî Disneyland opening this Thursday June 16, here is a new Disneyland Paris update for you thanks to Max, D&M contributor and DLPWelcome webmaster. But first, please note that, according to Disneyland Paris official website, "Le Galion Des Pirates", "La Plage des Pirates", "Adventure Isle", "La Cabane des Robinson", "Mad Hatter's Tea Cups" and "Les Tapis Volants - Flying Carpets Over Agrabah" will all reopen on the same day, Monday September 10!
Also, for thoseof you who still don't have the fantastic Disneyland Paris book, i remind you that we have now just a few copies of the book and the book will not be reprinted, so make sure to get your copy when it is still available! Let's go for the update, and we'll start by Main Street U.S.A whereMain Street station gradually reappear from its long renovation. The few details that can be seen, suggests a remarkable result of the renovation, see you in July for the reopening.
Nothing new special in Main Street USA.
In central Plaza, new electrical facilities were installed to accommodate the new audio system of the Park. It’s a bit too visible for now and at the expense of the plantations.
At Frontierland the renovation of the the ground located in front of Big Thunder Mountain is completed was redone identically to the original, with footprints of horseshoes and carts wheel . As for the renovation of Big Thunder Mountain, the renovation of the banks of the river is almost completed, while the mountain itself, is now cleaned. Some roofs have also been restored.
Always at Big Thunder Mountain, the train station of the ride, is completely covered with scaffoldings.
The renovation of the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue will end soon.
The Frozen summer Fun season began with the « Frozen Sing-along » at Chaparral Theater and the Arendelle market place is the same as last year.
In Adventureland, the area around « the enchanted Passage of Aladdin » is closed to allow the continuation of the repainting of some facades.

In the Bazaar area, a new stand was set up near the meet and greet of Aladdin. It offers fresh fruit but also a whole new fabulous drink, the Pineapple Whip.
Pineapple Whip is a revisited version of the Dole Whip Float of the U.S. parks. A revisited version that is not exactly like the original one. That said, we note the effort of Disney for his arrival and also for the amazingly unbeatable price-quantity-quality ratio. For this reason, (and because it’s delicious) we'll be back on our next visits!
The renovation of Adventure Isle continues with the first elements of the path to the Swiss Robinson Tree restored. But also, the significant appearance of moss on Captain Hook galleon.
The roof of the walkway along the land, is undergoing a renovation.
A Fantasyland, les murets de « La Petite Maison des Jouets » sont en train d’être repeint. In fantasyland, the walls are being repainted for the Stand « The small house of toys »
In Discoveryland, the work continues on Star Tours with the withdrawal of the antenna on the roof of Star Traders and from which only the structure is still there. The building of the old shop is now ready to be used as the future Star Wars photolocation with a new layout. In addition, the major part of the concrete floor was destroyed. Opening scheduled at end of March 2017.

The outdoor queue starts to look colorful at a few days of the reopening of Rock’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. The ride will reopen this week-end at the WDS!
At the Tower of Terror, the facade starts to be seriously damaged. According to Disney Gazette« a scaffolding-test has been installed at the rear of the tower. » […] « Let's hope that the decision of a full renovation will be taken in the shortest delays, even though there is no doubt that the works will stat only after the 25th anniversary, in order to avoid that one of Walt Disney Studios iconic attractions appears in refurbishment during this period. »
A new activity in the Ratatouille Parisian area : portraitists!
Let's end with the new official artwork of the upcoming Mickey and the Magician show in Walt Disney Studios Park starting July 2. You'll note that for the first time at Disneyland Paris, Mickey Mouse will talk. The « talking Mickey » will make its first appearance in this show!
