First Concept-Arts for Universal Studios Japan Super Nintendo World Attractions !
We have to wait until 2020 for the grand opening at Universal Studios Japan of the awaited Super Nintendo World which will give Nintendo die-hards a live-action taste of the places inhabited by Mario, Link, Zelda, Kirby and more… but fans got their first glimpse of what Super Nintendo World might look like, courtesy of several concept art images released on Twitter with permission by Gary Snyder, an adviser on Western media and culture.
So, let's have a look at these would we, as the same attractions will most probably be part of Super Nintendo World when it will come after the opening in Japan to Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando.
Let's start by the Nintendo "king", Super Mario, with the rendering below showing the Mario Kart ride, as well as two others renderings, including one showing the whole inside of the ride! Some say that the guests will wear during the ride augmented reality glasses, but so far nothing has been confirmed, so take this for now as a rumor.
The next rendering shows the Donkey Kong ride, the coaster and a playground.
Super Nintendo World will include two castles related to famous Nintendo games, and here is two digital renderings for these.
A last rendering seems to be related to a theatre attraction with a female character, i'm not a specialist about Nintendo games to be honest but it seems to be Zelda?
Finally, last week a map of Super Nintendo World was leaked but keep in mind that there might be some changes since it was done if it is an early concept map, and in fact this is the map for the Orlando version of Super Nintendo World, and by what we can see on it Super Nintendo World will be constructed between Simpsons land and E.T. Adventure, taking over most of Woody Woodpecker’s Kid’s Zone including Curious George Play Area, Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster, Fievel’s Playland, Animal Actors Studio and the A Day in the Park with Barney show.
We'll probably learn more about the rides soon and D&M will let you know. In the meantime, i repost below the Super Nintendo World "trailer" released for the groundbreaking event.
