Ratatouille : The Paris premiere and the private party !

Yesterday June 30th a major Ratatouille movie premiere and evening party happen in Paris! After all, the whole movie take place in Paris, so there was good reasons to set that event in the french capital.

Of course the usual local VIP were there, but what is more unusual is the fact that all the major "heads" of the Walt Disney company were there: not only John Lasseter and Brad Bird, of course, but even Bob Iger, Dick Cook, Brad Lewis, Ed Catmull and the composer Michael Giacchino!
If we had a terrorist attack yesterday evening near the Seine river all the most important executives and Pixar creators would have been beheaded! And, considering all the great work that these people are doing right now at the WDC, we must thanks god that it didn't happen!

But Anyway, everything went fine, and here is the full photo report.
As you know the action of Ratatouille is mainly set in a famous french restaurant - supposedly the best in France - so, John Lasseter and Brad Bird made first a visit to the restaurant of Guy Savoy, one of the best in Paris. As you can see below, they had fun with the chef's hat!

Next was the movie première in a theatre on the famous Champs Elysées avenue...

First guests arrived...

and some french VIP, too, like anchor man Jean Pierre Foucault...

Cannes film festival best actress winner Natacha Regnier...

Marianne James, jury member of "La Nouvelle star" show...

And of course John Lasseter and Brad Bird who did a speech to the audience before the film started.

The next part of this event was the big party located near the Alexander three bridge, on the banks of the Seine river, almost the same place of a scene from the movie...

The first guests arrive, leaded by some cooking chefs...

Some grooms were there to welcome them...

Among them, Bob Iger, President of the WDC, and Dick Cook, chairman of the Walt Disney Studios...

Just before, they couldn't resist to have a photo all together on the top of the Alexander three bridge, with the Eiffel tower in the background! Here on the picture:
Bob Iger, Brad Lewis, John Lasseter and Brad Bird in the front , and Mark Zoradi, Dick Cook and Ed Catmull in the back.

and here they are, down the bridge, on the red carpet!

Michael Giacchino, Ratatouille music score composer was there, too...

Among the french VIP, the great actor Jean Pierre Marielle who is the voice of the Gusteau character in the french version...

Here is again John Lasseter with his wife - and son?...

Inside, guests found a special designed decor in tribute to Ratatouille - here before the arrival of them...

The evening party chef put the final touch to some dishes...

And heeeere we go for the party! Champagne and "petits fours" for everybody!

Well, one thing is sure, just like in the movie, the food looks really good!
