First, Bob Chapek announced that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open in about a year from now, i.e fall 2019!
Imagineers have been hard at work creating Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, using breakthrough technology to transform a two-dimensional cartoon into an amazing real-world experience. The first-ever ride-through attraction themed to Mickey Mouse will feature a new original story and lovable theme song as it takes guests on a journey inside the wacky and unpredictable world of Disney Channel’s Emmy Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts.
There is more with Mickey as guests will enjoy the New “Wonderful World of Animation” Nighttime Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Bob unveiled news of an all-new cinematic nighttime experience, “Wonderful World of Animation,” which will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May 2019 as part of the park’s 30th Anniversary celebration. The show will use state-of-the-art projection technology. to take guests on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, all beginning with Mickey himself. (See rendering above).
The festivities will continue at the Disneyland Resort with Get Your Ears On — A Mickey and Minnie Celebration, which will feature new entertainment, food and merchandise. On January 18, “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will light up the night at Disneyland park with all-new music, projections and lasers that set the scene for an epic dance party that takes over almost the entire park.
The party will get even bigger when the fan-favorite Mickey’s Soundsational Parade returns to the resort in January 2019 featuring a new float with Mickey himself, who will lead the celebration down Main Street, U.S.A.
Also for WDW, Bob Chapek shared an exciting update on the multiyear transformation of Epcot, including details on new nighttime entertainment planned for the park and additions to World Showcase. Among the announcements were updates on a new nighttime spectacular planned to open at the park in 2020.
This new show will celebrate how Disney music inspires people around the world, and will feature massive floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics and lasers.
But before that new show debuts, there will be a limited-time experience Epcot fans will love, called “Epcot Forever,” which will debut in fall 2019 and will feature classic Epcot tunes. “Epcot Forever” will begin with a spark of imagination that swells into an epic spectacle of fireworks, music, lighting, lasers, and special effects kites.
Bob also announced the name of the “Ratatouille” experience coming to the France pavilion, which will be called "Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure". He also shared that a new guest offering will soon debut at the France pavilion at World Showcase (in addition to “Impressions de France”) – a brand new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along created by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films. And, the Canada pavilion is also in the process of updating the existing O Canada! 360-degree show!
During his presentation, Bob Chapek also unveiled details about the new Bay Lake DVC which will be named "Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge", a deluxe, nature-inspired resort coming to Orlando that will feature more than 900 hotel rooms and proposed Disney Vacation Club villas.
Also in oday's announcements, Disney revealed a new concept art for the upcoming Disney Riviera Resort to open fall 2019, with 300 rooms, and to be linked via the new Disney Skyliner gondola system.

First Concept Art for Disney California Adventure Marvel Land Spider-Man attraction !
First concept art for the Marvel land scheduled for 2020 at Disney California Adventure for what will be apparently a Spider-Man attraction! The rendering was released in the New York Times article HERE with the caption "Spider-Man will be a centerpiece of a new Marvel-themed ride at the Disneyland Resort." Apparently, considering the position of the Guardians of Galaxy tower behind, this Spider Man building seems to be where was previously the It's Tough to be a Bug theatre...
The interesting infographic below showing all coming lands in the different Disney theme parks was also posted in the same article. If you look at the one for Disney's Hollywood Studios is indicated "re-Themed Roller Coaster" for the Rock and Roller Coaster, something that has never been mentioned before. Could it be a mistake? Considering it's a New York Times article, that they did with documents provided by Disney or WDI, i would say: probably not.
EDITING: Disney denies any changes are coming for the Rock and Roller Coaster!

Always about Star Wars Disney Enterprises has filed a new patent titled "Sword device with retractable, internally illuminated blade", in two words a laser saber, without the laser.
Here is the description: "A special effects device for providing an energy sword effect. The device includes two long plastic semi-cylinders, and these two blade body members are rolled perpendicular to their length, which creates compact cylinders of material of small volume that can be provided on a pair of spools in a hilt. To extend the blade, a motor provided in the hilt unrolls the blade body members from the spools. Each blade body member passes through a blade forming guideway that nests the semi-cylindrical blade body members together as they leave the hilt. To retract the blade, the process is reversed. The lighting of the blade is achieved with a flexible strip of light sources. The light source strip is attached to a blade end cap and positioned in the center of the two blade body members such that it is pulled up along with the blade body members during their extension."

Disneyland Paris Christmas Season Update Part One - Videos of ALL Christmas Shows at Walt Disney Studios
Disneyland Paris started this week-end its Christmas season and in this part one we'll have a look at everything happening for this Christmas in DLP Walt Disney Studios where there is a lot to see and enjoy with 4K videos filmed by Max, D&M contributor and DLP Welcome webmaster.
But first, make sure to don't miss the end of the article as i also start the Christmas Special Offer on the very LAST copies of the Disneyland Paris book "From Sketch to Reality"!
At DLP Walt Disney Studios the main thing new this year in terms of Christmas theming and decorations is in the Ratatouille land with the usual Christmas village selling delicious food but in addition we have plenty of lights and giant Christmas balls added in the trees and around the mini-land. After all, the Ratatouille area is supposed to show a Paris replica and everyone knows that Paris has plenty of Christmas decorations during the Holiday season so it makes sense that they do it there, too. The only thing surprising is: what take them so long to think about doing it? Anyway, it's a good idea, the food sold by the Christmas village shops is good - though as always a bit pricey - and the Christmas theming fits well with the area as you'll see on the pictures below.
