Marvel Announces Officially Ant Man Director
Marvel announced officially who will be Ant Man director! Yes Man director Peyton Reed has officially been set to direct Marvel's Ant-Man, and even if Adam McKay turned down the offer to direct, he will help to develop the script. I'm afraid to say that we've gone from an amazing director like Edgar Wright - who resigned or was "fired" recently - to a very mediocre director like Reed, a guy who did other films such as Bring It On, Down With Love and The Break-Up.
That's no good news indeed, but the movie is supposed to be released on July 17, 2015 and i suppose that the time is running against Marvel. During this week many others directors were running to be Ant Man director but it's Peyton Reed who will direct. Let's hope he'll do a good job and here's a synopsis that the studio also released today:
"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

DLP WDS Ratatouille Ride Update !
Here we go for a new Ratatouille pictorial update thanks as always to Max Fan, D&M contributor and DLPWelcome webmaster. As you'll see almost everything is ready for the press event which will happen on June 21 - 22. But the most important change of the day is definitely the new sign now in place at the entrance of the ride. Almost everyone agreed that the first one looked terrible with the big and awful cooking pot and it has been replaced by this new one that you can see on the pictures above and below. Also below a before / after picture.
The new sign looks undeniably better, although i still find it a bit too big, personally. I'm not a big fan too of the blue color which is for me too strong in regards to the facades behind ( same for the Fast Pass signs ). I suppose that the park wants the entrance to be instantly identified by WDS guests and it might be a reason why they've kept this blue color which is coming from the original movie logo. Anyway, it's much better so let's not complain too much...
Before the arrival of the new sign...
Some close shots on the "Bistrot Chez Remy" restaurant and the "Chez Marianne, Souvenirs de Paris" boutique awnings.
There is two "streets" in the Ratatouille area, and they do have names.
More close shots on different signs and theming here and there...
The clock is in place but not yet on time...
The fountain at the center of the plaza is practically the only outside element which is not totally finished and will be anytime soon.
More views of the area...
The bicycle below are part of the theming, remembering the ones used by the characters in the animated movie.
And that's it for this new Ratatouille update. I'll be back on Monday with a new DLP update, this time about Disneyland Paris park and in the meantime i remind you that, to celebrate Disneyland Paris 22nd Anniversary, i'm doing a special offer price on the great Disneyland Paris "From Sketch to Reality" book - for both ENGLISH or FRENCH editions! Universal Orlando Reveal More Secrets of Harry Potter Diagon Alley !
The new Universal Orlando Blog reveal the amazing entertainment and interactive experiences you’ll find when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley opens this summer at Universal Studios Florida.
Starting by "catching a live performance by a popular singing sorceress; seeing The Tales of Beedle the Bard come to life with a goose bump-inducing show performed by a troupe of four from the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts; seeing the banter between the Knight Bus Conductor and a shrunken head; and exchanging your Muggle currency for Wizarding Bank Notes while meeting a Gringotts goblin."
"It will begin when you'll step through the archway in the brick wall into Diagon Alley, take a right at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and enter the bustling shopping area called Carkitt Market. That’s where you’ll find two live shows performed daily that will captivate fans of all ages."
"The first show will bring to life two fables from The Tales of Beedle the Bard – “The Fountain of Fair Fortune” and “The Tale of the Three Brothers” (which was featured in the seventh film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”). Performed by a troupe of four from the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts, this trunk show uses scenic pieces, props and puppetry fabricated by Emmy-award-winning designer Michael Curry."
"The second show features a musical performance by the ever-popular singing sensation of the wizarding world and one of Molly Weasley’s personal favorites, The Singing Sorceress: Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees. With a whole lot of soul, this swinging show will feature never-before heard songs including “A Cauldron Full Of Hot, Strong Love,” “You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart” and “You Charmed The Heart Right Out Of Me” – all titles created by J.K. Rowling. The lyrics also contain never-before-revealed information about Celestina’s wand – written by J.K. Rowling for Pottermore."
"In London, you’ll happen upon the Knight Bus and its two permanent occupants: a shrunken head and the Knight Bus Conductor, who will be more than happy to chat, joke around and take photos with you before you begin your journey into Diagon Alley."
"Before you do your shopping for all the wizarding essentials in Diagon Alley, make sure to stop by Gringotts Money Exchange. Here you’ll be able to exchange your Muggle currency for Wizarding Bank Notes, which can be used within both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade (as well as the rest of our two theme parks) to purchase snacks and items from the shops. And there will be a Gringotts goblin who will be overseeing your transaction…"
"And, of course, Diagon Alley wouldn’t be complete without Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 BC, where you can step inside the small, dusty shop to experience firsthand the magical moment when a wand chooses a wizard, reminiscent of one of the most iconic scenes from the Harry Potter books and films."
