Amazing Live Action Toy Story Movie, Filmed By Two Pixar Mega-Fans

Incredible: two Pixar mega fans Jonason Pauley, 19, and Jesse Perrotta, 21, spent the last two years recreating the full Toy Story movie in "real", and they recently posted their finished movie on YouTube. They said that it was a labor of love" and it surely was considering not only the time that it took but also how well they did it.

The full-length film was shot on a consumer camcorder, using green screens, stop-motion animation, and old-fashioned puppetry. Actors were friends of Jonason or Jesse or acquaintances from church. But this live action Toy Story uses the audio track from the animated feature.

The most difficult scene was the final scene, where some of the toys are chasing Andy in the RV. To get the right shot with the dog and the moving vehicle had been apparently a nightmare. Jonason and Jesse went to Pixar Studios in Emeryville and gave to some Pixar employees Dvds of their finished movie, and apparently Pixar people were excited to see the result - pretty understandable, isn't it?

Disneyland Indiana Jones Adventure Making of

I'll be back tomorrow with a new DLP update and the latest shots of the ratatouille construction but in the meanwhile here is a great making-of of the best Indiana Jones attraction in the world - Indiana Jones Adventure "Temple of the Forbidden Eye" at Disneyland! This video was released when the ride opened at Disneyland in 1995 and two actors of the original Indy movies - John Rhys-Davies and Karen Allen - are playing in it!

What's Next For Disneyland, Anaheim ?

After an incredible year with new lands, shows and attractions opening in Disney Parks all around the world, what will be the next opening? Well, it'll be probably Fantasyland Festival Faire at Disneyland, Anaheim, and it is supposed to open this winter, so expect an opening before the end of March!

Festival Faire will be an expansion of Fantasyland and also will replace the Carnation Plaza Gardens Stage. The area will be a fantasy village square and will feature the Tangled Tower and the Royal Ribbon Parade event where guests will be able to dance with Belle or Rapunzel. Guests will also be able to meet others Disney princesses like Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.

WDI released recently pictures of the model with WDI Imagineers at work on it, that you can see below.

Also coming in Fantasyland at the Fantasyland Theater, a new show called "Mickey and the Magical Map" to debut in summer 2013. The storyline involved a wizard called Yen Sid who will share a magical map with transportation abilities. Mickey Mouse, as the sorcerer's apprentice will be part of this adventure which will feature too Disney characters of animated movies from "the Jungle Book to "Tangled". Looks not bad at all - for a show - and also a little tribute to Fantasia.

10th Anniversary of Hong Kong Disneyland Ground Breaking Ceremony

Ten years ago, on January 12, 2003, Hong Kong Disneyland ground breaking ceremony happened. At that time Michael Eisner was still CEO of the WDC ( not for long, thanks God ) and of course Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy were there too, along with chinese officials, and chinese dragons!

Ten years later,  the park is doing well, had many additions and will have more in the future starting with the highly awaited Mystic Manor attraction which will open next summer. More additions not yet officially announced will come soon as well as a second park around the end of the decade. And probably more hotels too as they have the land available to build them.

You and I were probably not there for this 2003 ground breaking ceremony, but i've found for you the video. Funny ceremony with a giant model of Sleeping Beauty Castle in the middle of a field which looks in the middle of nowhere!

Disneyland Golden Horseshoe Revue is back for a limited time

At Disneyland's Frontierland the beloved Disneyland Golden Horseshoe Revue is coming back in its original saloon stage, but for a limited time! Will "Lincoln" Be 85th Academy Awards Big Winner ?

The nominees for the 85th Academy Awards were revealed yesterday and Steven Spielberg's Lincoln got 12 nominations! Including best movie, best direction, best actor, etc... But anyone know that it's not because you're nominated that you get the Oscar... That said i'm betting on Lincoln and i think he should win quite a lot of its nominations. But will it be the big winner of the Academy Awards evening? It seems that even its Audio-Animatronic version don't want to tell it to Walt ( yeah, i know, it's a stupid line! )

In the Animated Feature Film category, three Disney movies are nominated, i.e  Pixar's Brave,  Frankenweenie from Tim Burton and Wreck-It Ralph from Rich Moore. And in the Animated Short Film category it's  Paperman from John Kahrs who got the nomination. Who will win what? To have the answer you have to wait until February 24, evening of the Academy Awards ceremony!
