Guess in Which Theme Park Will Open a Marvel Land in Four Months ?

Guess in which theme park will open the first Marvel land ( the one that already exist at IOA of course doesn't count )? At Disney California Adventure? At DLP Walt Disney Studios? Wrong! It won't be in a Disney theme park and it's at IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai, a new theme park opening this August which will be the biggest indoor theme park in the world! The park will also include a Lost Valley Dinosaur Adventure land, a Cartoon Network land and a IMG Boulevard.

It's Falcon Treehouse who designed the Marvel rides and here are the attractions awaiting IMG guests next August.

Avengers Battle of Ultron will be the big E-Ticket ride of the land and will blend stereoscopic 3D media with an elaborate physical environment and special effects to bring the MARVEL Universe to life.

Join Marvel’s Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and the Hulk as they take to the skies to battle the evil villain Ultron. Earn your place on The Avengers team and help to save the day!

Hulk Epsilon Base 3D

Take your motion-seat in our one-of-a kind, state-of-the-art stereoscopic cinema dome to see Marvel’s Hulk, the Incredible Avenger, battle against his deadliest foe yet in stunning 3D. You will never forget this 360-degree, fully immersive viewing experience, of one of Hulk’s greatest battles.

Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge

Swing through the city with Marvel’s famous web-slinger. Battle Spider-Man’s nemesis Doctor Octopus and stop him from stealing the city’s energy supply. This is one ride you won’t want to end.

Thor Thunder Spin

Overload your senses on this dizzying experiment in physics… Be pinned to your seat by the laws of gravity as Marvel’s Thor, the Mighty Avenger, attempts to rescue you from the clutches of Loki, God of Mischief.

Avengers Flight of the Quinjets

Take control of your own two-seat Quinjet and take flight with other Quinjets in a fun race… Suitable for all ages, join Marvel’s finest on this fun ride.

The land will include themed restaurants and merchandise shops, among these:

Tony’s Skydeck

Enjoy the best steak and seafood at IMG Worlds of Adventure’s premier restaurant: Tony’s Skydeck. Tony Stark’s own restaurant on the upper floors of the Avengers Tower is the place to sit back and soak in the spectacular views over the city while enjoying a fine dining experience that is as hip as it is refined. Tony Stark is a man of exquisite taste – why not join him at the Chef’s Table (seats six) for the true VIP experience.

Downtown Shawarma

Grab a quick bite at The Avengers’ favorite hangout… sit and eat or grab and go while enjoying the urban vibe. Nothing helps a Super Hero fight battles better than a well-crafted shawarma. Our team has a range of different takes on the shawarma sure to satisfy any budding Super Hero’s craving.

Marvel Universe

One of IMG Worlds of Adventure’s flagship stores, Marvel Universe takes you closer to the action than ever before… step inside and be transformed into Iron Man – the fate of the world is now in your hands! This experience has to be seen to be believed… have you got what it takes to save the planet? Marvel Universe is the world’s biggest Marvel store – get the best and newest Marvel Universe merchandise here to impress your friends!

Epsilon Command

Your military-style base for Hulk and Marvel Universe merchandise, including photo opportunities, fantastic figurines, action toys and games. Recreate the fun of IMG Worlds of Adventure at home by visiting Epsilon Command before you leave.

It will be highly interesting to see how good this Marvel land will be for the amount spent, necessarily cheaper than if it was built by Disney. And we'll have the answer in four months from now when IMG Worlds of Adventures will open in Dubai!

How is this possible? Disney owns Marvel and I thought Universal was the only other brand that could use some of the Marvel characters. I also thought they could only do this in Orlando.

What part did I get wrong? Is IMG associated with Universal? What does Disney think about this? Curious.

May be IMG signed a deal for this theme park with Marvel BEFORE Disney bought Marvel...

With Disney not having plans to build a park in Dubai, Isnt this a great way to extend the reach of Disney/Marvel IP across the world?

I really wish Disney would get off their butt and build Marvel themed lands for Disneyland Anaheim and Disneyland Paris. It feels like they're dragging their feet on it. Thanks for the update, Alain.
