Gift of the Day : Two 1950's Aerial Shots of Disneyland

Gift of the day: two aerial shots of Disneyland in big size, one shot before 1959, probably 1956 - the Matterhorn, the Monorail and Submarine Voyage are not built yet - and the other post 1959,  New orleans Square and POTC are under construction... Click on each to get them in large size.

Nice photo's.

The second one with New Orleans Square under construction, has a complete (or mostly complete)facade building for the Haunted Mansion. Construction on the facade was 1962 and 1963, then nothing until after the NYWF. Seeing that the lower level of NOS side of the PotC show building has a lower level with structural members for the first floor in place, this photo may be even later, say 1964-65.

Great pictures!

The first one is probaly from 1955, maybe from a few days before opening day, since I can't see the Pirate ship in Fantasyland and the canal boats have no landscape
