Star Wars : The Force Awakens New High-Res Pictures

Lucasfilm has released during the D23 some great high-res pictures shot on the set of Star Wars : The Force Awakens, showing the main characters, and i'm sure you will enjoy these pics. As usual click on each picture to see them in big size.

On the next picture J.J Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, who've written the script discuss a scene of Star Wars 7.

These picture are also include in the Entertainment Weekly Fall Movie Preview issue now available in bookstores or can be purchased online - and Star Wars: The Force Awakens new villain, Kylo Ren, is on the cover.

Star Wars Panels at Comic Con 2014 Announced

                                    

Disney and Lucasfilm have announced the Star Wars panels for San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Lot of great things for Star Wars fans, but nothing scheduled about Star Wars Episode 7, which is no suprise as the film is still in production.But there might be a surprise during the Disney panel that will take place in Hall H, and if not there's still a ton of activities that will keep fans busy and happy.

Thursday, July 24

The Heroes of Star Wars Rebels: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Room 6BCF
The Empire. The Rebellion. The Beginning. Star Wars Rebels, Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated animated series detailing the start of the fight against the evil Empire, is coming this fall — but fans can get a big sneak peek at San Diego Comic-Con.

Lucasfilm’s special panel, The Heroes of Star Wars Rebels, will feature executive producer Dave Filoni, as well as the first panel appearance by executive producer Simon Kinberg and stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, and Taylor Gray. They’ll discuss making the show and will reveal exclusive content from the upcoming series for fans in attendance.

Star Wars Rebels continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.

Scheduled to premiere in the fall as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, it will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.

With Star Wars: Episode VII creators deep in production in anticipation of the film’s December 18, 2015, release, Lucasfilm will not be featuring the movie at SDCC.

For the first time, Lucasfilm has opened its Archives to present comprehensive storyboards for the original Star Wars trilogy — the world-changing A New Hope and its operatic sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi — as well as never-before-published art from early conceptual and deleted scenes, in a new book from Abrams: Star Wars Storyboards: The Original Trilogy. Former ILM art director Joe Johnston will discuss the newest addition to the Abrams Star Wars library, and the singular experience of creating the iconic trilogy’s storyboards with his stellar art dept team. Johnston won an Academy Award for Best Visual effects for his work on Raiders of the Lost Ark, and has directed Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, The Rocketeer, Jumanji, Jurassic Park III, Hidalgo, and Captain America: The First Avenger. Amazing Star Wars 7 Fake Leaked Footage !

Here is some really fun Star Wars 7 "fake" leaked footage, brilliantly done by Frank Wunderlich. I'm always amazed at what anyone who have talent can do now in his own home thanks to the new softwares. No, seriously, do you imagine how long it would have taken to ILM wizards to create the same clip 30 years ago?

Seems like the biggest german airport plays a key role as an imperial starport in the new episode -- there have just been imperial forces at the scene. Maybe the Rebelboys hide in Berlin..."

New Star Wars 7 Spoiler Rumors...

The great fan poster above is coming from @HUSDESIGN and we have more spoiler rumors about Star Wars 7 which appeared on the web. The first one is coming from AICN who says that "Han Solo is basically the main character of Episode VII, and he will be "leading a galaxy-wide search party for Luke Skywalker." A previous rumor said that Luke Skywalker has been out and about trying to stop the Sith from being resurrected and his friends might need him to be back for something or to help him complete his mission.

Others infos are about the roles that John Boyega and Daisy Ridley are playing. The following info comes from MakingStarWars, who says that Boyega’s character is an imperial trooper or pilot named Thomas. Apparently he is shot down over Tatooine and injured from the crash. There he meets a character named Rachel played by Ridley, and starts to realize that he’s on the wrong side of things and begins Jedi training:

"Rachel rescues him from the wreckage and the elements of the sandy planet. Over the course of their 'unlikely pairing,'  Thomas sees the reality of the universe and he defects from the side of the villains and decides to help Rachel for saving his life. However, things are not easy for the character because unlike most of the rebels we’ve met in the series, none were traitors, they were always on the side of right from the beginning. However, it appears Rachel and Thomas have an innocent flirtation in their first film with hints at romance in the future episode."

Harrison Ford Suffering Serious Ankle Injury After Being Hit on the Set of Star Wars 7 by the Fall of a Millennium Falcon Hydraulic Door

A really bad accident happened to Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars 7 in England when he was hit by the fall of a hydraulic door of the Millennium Falcon. Harrison clutched his chest in pain as crew members rushed to free him from underneath the prop’s hydraulic door. He was then stretchered off set and flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, which specialises in fractures. A source added that he was in ‘a lot of pain’ and his foot appeared ‘damaged’.

According to an update from The Hollywood Reporter: "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," Disney Studios said in a statement to THR".

This seems to be a serious injury for Harrison and potentially could have a huge impact on the filming of Star Wars 7 if he can't be back on set for months or can't walk, etc... More about this on Disney by Mark website HERE

Star Wars Episode 7 Casting Announced at Last !

Wow, what a day, after all these unbelievable news from SDL and TDR LucasFilm has finally announced the highly awaited casting for Star Wars Episode 7, and with this great picture above of all the cast! So, who will play in it?

Here we go: Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

Director J.J. Abrams says, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

So, who is who on this great picture above showing all the cast at Pinewood studios? The picture below will help you to identify them.

I don't need to introduce the actors from the first trilogies but If you're unfamiliar with the other names, you might remember John Boyega from 24: Live Another Day, Adam Driver from Girls, Oscar Isaac from Inside Llewelyn Davis, Domhnall Gleeson from About Time and various Harry Potters. And Andy Serkis, of course, played the CGI Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

And of course there is the great Max Von Sydow, a fantastic actor who played in legendary Ingmar Bergman movies as well as the exorcist in Willian Friedkin's The Exorcist.

Also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, director J.J. Abrams "has another substantial role to fill — and it's a female part. No further details are known. That might be good news for a vocal segment of Star Wars fans that have bemoaned the lack female roles in the six previous films as well as the just-announced new cast. In Tuesday’s big announcement, newcomer Daisy Ridley is the only woman among the new actors joining the franchise."

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

Star Wars 7 Return of the Empire Parody Video

Here is something really cool to start the week-end, a very funny and really well done parody video of Star Wars by director Sam Macaroni, called "Return of the Empire" and acclaimed by the Huffington Post, U.S.A Today and many others as one of the best Star Wars parody ever made, and technically speaking it's indeed really well done!
