First Trailer of The Sorcerer's Apprentice

The first trailer of < The Sorcerer's Apprentice > is now on line. It's supposed to be inspired by the Fantasia sequence, but most of all it's a Jerry Bruckheimer production, starring Nicholas Cage.

Frankly, i don't expect a lot of it which may be is the best way to don't be disappointed! Have a look at it, and let us know what you feel!

I think it looks wonderful. I am glad to find out it's NOT a live action remake of the Fantasia Classic with Mickey Mouse. This looks to have good special effects and a good story. So far I plan on seeing it at the Theater.

I don't see it as an inspiration from Fantasia. The Sorcerer's apprentice is a very ancient tale which is thowsands of years old and this is only a modern adaptation of the story, but I think there's no relation at all with the Fantasia version except for the title.

Yeah. Aside from the title and what looks to be a forced "brooms/water" sequence (at 2:14), this has NOTHING to do with the Fantasia classic... which is probably a good thing.
Still just odd, though...

Okay, its probably going to be an entertaining movie
but what i really do not understand why it has to be in New York - it did not work with Enchanted (to modern for a fairy tale, it imediately set an uninspiring tone)_ and it wont work here. A very bad decission to give it such a firm grip on time and place.

No, classic fairytales work a lot better in a "far, far away" enviroment. Or in a different time, but not today.
