Pandora - The World of Avatar is opening on May 27 and a new Imagineering video was released, in which Joe Rhode and others WDI Imagineers talk about where they found the artistic inspiration for Pandora.

It looks great, incredibly detailed, with real decors and awesome AA figures! It has everything I love to see in a Disney theme park, but at the same time it seems such a waste to build all this based on Avatar, an average movie that made a lot of success when released but that nobody talks about anymore.
Splash Mountain is based on a cute but average movie nobody have seen in decades in the USA. It's still a marvellous attraction and one of WDI masterpiece.
Avatar land is a very unique & original land. It's powerfull theming & visuals should make it relevant for a long time IMHO...
As a European it looks like many Americans have an issue with Avatar not for the movie itself but for its ecological & préservation theme.
