Disneyland Paris Pictorial Update - Part One !
Here we go for a new Disneyland Paris update and it's such a big one that it will come in three parts! So, first part today, and thanks as usual to Max, D&M contributor and DLPWelcome webmaster. for his great pictures for a DLP pictorial report under the sun of September!
Sunday, September 9th was the last chance to see the 25th anniversary shows. It was time to say goodbye to « Mickey present: Happy Birthday Disneyland Paris » and Max has filmed the very last show.
While waiting for the beginning of the Halloween season on Monday October 1st, DLP parks enter in a low period. The perfect time to take a look at the works being done in the parks. All aboard the Molly Brown to have a look at the two main construction sites in Frontierland.
It's always to see how Frontierland trees have grown up since opening day...
The works on the new Chaparral Theater are progressing well, the readying of the floor was done to support the new theatre which will be completely closed.
You can see the aesthetics of the new Theatre on the blueprints above and below. The used colors are warmer than those of Frontierland other buildings, which is not surprising as, as announced since DLP opening in 1992, Splash Mountain is expected since 1994 in this part of the land to move DLP guests to the back of Frontierland and Adventureland. Don't expect, though, to have Splash Mountain at DLP anytime soon as i can tell you that it's not on the program for the coming years.
I have a "one more thing" for you as Disneyland Paris did last week a special evening to end the 25th Anniversary celebration. Robert Stallard, faithful D&M reader was here and filmed everything, and specially the Grand Finale from the front row! You have the video below and you can see others videos of the evening on Robert Facebook page HERE.
Part two of the update will come soon and in the next part we will talk about Phantom Manor!
